pMD Beta For Android Is Almost Here
logo
We've been working steadily on creating a version of pMD that will run on Android phones, and it's nearly ready for primetime use by physicians. We plan to announce a beta program shortly so that early adopters and other physicians who are extremely eager for pMD on Android can try this new version of our software before it's released to the general public.

It's exciting to be at this point after all the development that we've put into this new platform, and all the feedback that our Android-loving customers have given us about what's special about the platform and how to make the software great. Thanks to this guidance, we've been able to reimagine pMD for Android in ways that will save physicians more time and make the product even easier to use.

For example, the Visit History is a powerful aspect of pMD that exists on every device. We've made it easier to find so that new users will discover this tool and realize quickly that they can view past visits from the other physicians in their group — even when their phone has no data signal of any kind. When viewing any patient, pMD for Android displays the Visit History right on the patient's info screen and shows the details of each visit. This way it's obvious when a patient has been seen in the past, by whom, and what happened.

We can't wait to get feedback on this and other innovations during the upcoming beta. Initially we plan to work with early adopters who have devices running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Examples are the Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid Bionic, Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Inspire 4G and HTC Sensation 4G. We plan to add to this list of supported devices rapidly as soon as we're able to test the software on more phones.

We hope you'll let us know if you're interested in the beta and if there's a particular Android device that you're excited about. Look for the official beta press release in the next few weeks!
